Diego Valadez joined Galicia Abogados in 2013 and has focused his practice in mergers and acquisitions transactions as well as corporate matters. Prior to joining Galicia Abogados, Diego worked in boutique law firms in Mexico City, specialized in corporate matters.
Diego has been part of the advisory team for multiple local and foreign corporations and private equity funds, purchasers, sellers and in structuring and negotiating M&A transactions in stock and asset acquisitions and joint ventures, among others. His experience also includes transactions related to telecommunications, retail, real estate investment trusts, manufacturing and food processing, the agricultural sector; as well as matters related with corporate governance compliance such as the registration of Wealth Management Advisors and Independent Investment Advisors (Asesores en Inversiones Independientes) before the Mexican financial authorities.
Diego holds a Law Degree from Universidad Panamericana (2010-2015) and has a Diploma from a Law Seminar from Yale University (2014). His native language is Spanish and he is fluent in English.
Diego has written articles in both the legal magazine La Barra – “Presencia de la ABA en México” (August-October 2012) as well as in academic publications.
