Marianela is associate of Galicia Abogados since 2009 and currently associate at the regulatory practice group. She was associate of the M&A practice and leaded the Knowledge Management area at the Firm.
She is a member of the pro bono committee at the Firm. She supports our clients in compliance matters, particularly in the establishment of compliance programs, trainings and investigations.
Marianela obtained her Law Degree from Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (2009) and a Master’s in Public Policy degree from the Hertie School of Governance (2014) under a DAAD scholarship. She has postgraduate studies in Law of the European Union.
She received the Golden Decoration of Merit of the Republic of Austria for her support in the incorporation of the Austrian School in Mexico.
Marianela worked as foreign associate at the Frankfurt offices of Hengeler Mueller.
She is Secretary of the Board of Trustees of Proeducación and Secretary of the Board of Directors of the German School (Colegio Alemán Alexander von Humboldt) in Mexico, where she leads the Corporate Governance Committee. She is professor of Mergers & Acquisitions at CIDE.
