For more than 20 years, Norma has specialized in estate planning, focusing on advising Mexican private clients and their nonMexican advisors, as well as service providers and financial advisors. Having started her professional practice in a well-known tax boutique, her training as tax advisor also lead her to participate in complex international taxation matters, and in determining the Mexican tax consequences from relevant transactions involving financial instruments.
Norma joined the wealth management practice of the firm in March 2021, after having worked in prestigious tax boutiques, and after being part of the team that started the tax practice in one of the most important global firms, all of them in Mexico City.
She holds a JD from the Escuela Libre de Derecho law school in Mexico City (1999), with a specialization in accounting and finance from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (2002). She is a native Spanish speaker, and is fluent in French and English, also being an expert witness English translator appointed by the Supreme Court of Justice and by the Superior Court of Justice of Mexico City.
