Cecilia Rojas

Cecilia has been passionate about finance law since she started practicing. She joined the Firm’s group in 2006, advising creditors and debtors in the structuring, negotiation, documentation and execution of all kinds financing transactions. Her expertise includes cross border syndicated transactions, acquisitions finance and corporate lending, which makes her work hand in hand with other areas of the Firm involved in the financial services industry, such as M&A and real estate.

Additionally, Cecilia has experience in regulatory matters and investigations, having advised financial institutions, including banks and pension funds.

Within the Firm, she has been a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee since 2011.

In 2019, Cecilia was invited to participate as a member of the board of El Buen Socio, which provides ethical financial services for people to improve their quality of life through the development of productive projects.

Cecilia holds a law degree with honors from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (2002) in Mexico City and an LL.M. degree from Columbia Law School (2004). She worked as a fellow in the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL) in Washington D.C. (2004) and as a fellow in the Inter-American Investment Corporation (currently BID Invest) in Washington D.C. (2005-2006).

Her native language is Spanish and she is fluent in English.
