Irma is a senior associate of the Intellectual Property practice.
Her breadth of experience encompasses representing domestic and international clients in the pharmaceutical, entertainment and consumer goods industries, which includes overseeing unique cases related to intellectual property and information technology as well as patent-related investment arbitration cases. She currently focuses on transactional intellectual property, data privacy, trademarks, and copyrights protections and litigations.
Prior to joining the Firm, Irma was foreign associate at Covington & Burling, LLC., in Washington, D.C.
She obtained her LL.B. from Escuela de Derecho del Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey and has a specialization in Constitutional Law from Universidad Panamericana. She also has an LL.M. from Harvard Law School, which she obtained through the Fulbright-García Robles Scholarship.
Irma has been on the Board of Directors for the Asociación Mexicana para la Protección de la Propiedad Intelectual (AMPPI) and was actively involved in AMPPI’s Diversity & Inclusion and Corporate Social Responsibility groups.
