backJuan Pablo is a counsel at Galicia. His practice is focused on banking and finance, M&A, international trade and general corporate matters.
He is responsible for promoting the Firm’s presence at the national and international level and is a member of various business and trade associations.
In such capacity, Juan Pablo is President of the Board of Directors of the North America section of the Mexican Council of Foreign Trade (COMCE). He also presides over the International Trade Committee of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce (CANCHAM) in Mexico and is a Board of Directors member for CANCHAM.
Juan Pablo has advised various associations on multilateral trade agreements, such as the Pacific Alliance, and participated in “Cuarto de Junto” during the NAFTA renegotiation. He is part of Galicia’s Asia Desk and regularly speaks in forums throughout Mexico and Latin America on international trade agreements and investment.
He obtained his Law Degree from Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico City and holds an LL.M. from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He worked as a foreign associate at Dechert’s Washington, D.C. office.
Juan Pablo is a member of the Firm’s Pro Bono Committee and is the Presidente of an international Pro Bono association.
