backLuis has developed his career in Galicia. He joined the firm in 2010 as a law clerk, later promoted to associate, and as of 2026, is a Partner in the Energy practice, standing out for his in-depth knowledge of the sector, attention to detail, and strategic vision.
His work is focused on providing legal advice to developers, contractors, sponsors, offtakers and banks during various stages such as development, financing, construction and operations of energy projects, especially in the power industry, including, power generation, storage and transmission projects.
Luis has also been a member of the Mexican Energy Law Association (Academia Mexicana de Derecho Energético) and has collaborated on articles related to electricity, renewables and alternative energy in international publications, such as Capitel and Chambers Global Practice Guides. He currently acts as secretary of the Infrastructure and Energy Committee of the Mexican Association of Private Equity (AMEXCAP).
He obtained his LL.B. from Universidad Panamericana (2014) and a diploma in Energy Law from Escuela Libre de Derecho (2013). Moreover, he has an LL.M. in Environmental Law & Policy with focus on Clean/Renewable Energy from Stanford University (2017).
