RegresarOn March 28, 2023, the Mexican President submitted an initiative to amend the legal framework applicable to mining activities in Mexico, which included substantial changes that would impact materially the mining industry in Mexico. On April 20, 2023, the House of Representatives (Cámara de Diputados) proposed, discussed and approved modifications to the original initiative presented by the Mexican President, and such initiative was approved by the Senate on April 28, 2023 (the “Amendment”). The Amendment is expected to become law upon its publication in the Mexican Official Gazette.
