With more than 15 years of experience, he specializes in strategic advisory on tax audits and procedures before the tax authorities, alternative dispute resolution procedures on tax matters before Mexico’s Tax Ombudsman Agency (PRODECON per its Spanish acronym) and tax controversy procedures regarding federal and local taxes. He also has experience in international taxation issues and has obtained favorable rulings concerning the refund of local taxes representing a considerable amount, in several states.
He obtained an Advanced LL.M. in International Tax Law from Leiden University’s International Tax Center (2012-2013). Since 2019, he has been a part-time tax professor for the undergraduate law program at Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.
Alejandro is co-author of the 2024 second edition of the book El juicio de amparo en materia fiscal published by a renowned publisher.
