On December 6, 2022, Members of the European Parliament (“MEPs”), and the EU Member States adopted an “Accord to ban the import into the European Union of products that contribute in any way to deforestation” (the “Accord”).

I. Products restricted by the Accord

The following products (or other materials or goods that include them) will be restricted from being traded in the European Union: cattle, cocoa, coffee, palm oil, soybeans, wood, rubber, coal, and printed paper products.
