Resolution providing for the permanent armed force to carry out security tasks

On May 11, 2020, a Decree was published on the Official Gazette by which the President of Mexico established that the Armed Forces (Army, Marine, and Air Force) shall permanently carry out public security tasks along with the National Guard, in an extraordinary, regulated, supervised, subordinate and complementary manner (the “Decree”), for a period that will not exceed 5 years. The previous, results from the fact that the National Guard is currently at a period of implementation and total development of its capabilities, for which it is barred from properly complying such functions
