Decree by means of which several provisions of the Hydrocarbons Law are added and amended

Following up on our legal update dated March 29, 2021, regarding the initiative to amend the Hydrocarbons Law (Ley de Hidrocarburos) (the “Law”)1 , on May 4, 2021, the Ministry of Energy (“SENER”) published in the Federal Official Gazette (Diario Oficial de la Federación) the “Decree by means of which several provisions of the Hydrocarbons Law are added and amended” (Decreto por el que se reforman y adicionan diversas disposiciones de la Ley de Hidrocarburos) (the “Decree”). This Decree enters into force today, May 5, 2021.
