On October 21, 2024, during a conference held by President Claudia Sheinbaum, the head of the Ministry of Public Education (“SEP” for its acronym in Spanish), stated that the commercialization of products bearing the seals established in official standard NOM 051, in schools’ part of the National Education System, is forbidden.
